Mystic Daegu Premium SiO₂ Coat, to me, is the kind of product

that really shines in the hands of someone intermediate to advanced. (Again, it's personal opinion)

It’s not as easygoing as Mystic Seoul or Mystic Haeundae

this one has a thick, oily, high-slick feel that makes the application

a bit more demanding.

But once you push through that “hmm… is this supposed to feel like this?” stage,

the payoff is absolutely worth it.

The finish?

Bright, crisp, acrylic-like gloss that hits different under sunlight.

The performance?

That signature Mystic hydrophobic behavior -

tight beads, hyper-fast water runoff,

and a level of slickness that makes the paint feel almost unfair.

And durability… seriously impressive.

I consistently get around 3 months of solid, noticeable protection.

The paint feels guarded, like there’s a real shield on top of the clear coat.

Surely full ceramic coating or PPF is the ultimate protection,

but for a DIY user who wants something strong, durable,

and still within reach?

Mystic Daegu fills that gap perfectly.

There are downsides:

For beginners, the application can feel a little tricky.

And the towels you use with Daegu?

Yeah… good luck bringing them back to normal.

The slick, oily SiO₂-rich formula tends to cling to microfiber,

even after washing.

So I do what any sane person does -

I move those towels to “door jambs, engine bay, wheels, and goodbye” duty.

But overall?

Mystic Daegu delivers a level of gloss and protection

  • After disassembling the trigger, turn it upside down and spray it into the air to remove all residual solution.
  • Reassemble the safety device and store it.
  • Do not use inside a car.
  • When working, please work in a shaded place.
  • Please work avoiding places with high humidity or those that are too cold or hot.

Q. Can even a beginner apply it?

A. Yes, anyone can easily apply it by spraying and wiping, and a professional finish is possible without separate equipment or complex processes.

Q. Can I apply multiple layers?

A. Yes, when applying multiple layers, the gloss, stain resistance, and sheeting are further enhanced. As the protective layers build up, a positive effect on durability can also be expected.

Q. Can I spray water immediately after application?

A. After application, it is recommended to have a drying time of at least 2 hours. The maximum effect is achieved after 12-24 hours of curing.

Q. Do I need to remove the existing coating before use?

A. If the existing coating layer is thick or incompatible, organizing it before use helps in forming a cleaner and more uniform SiO₂ coating.
